She said she will work to make Rockland business-friendly in order to grow the tax base.

  • Sierra was also a member of The Collective Movement, which is a program designed to assist business owners who are ready to take their business to the next level with branding, digital products, business structure, business credit and investing.

  • David Martz, who was appointed to the school board earlier this year to fill a vacancy, was elected to serve a one-year term.

  • If elected, this would be the first public board or committee Kalloch has served on.

He said it is unfortunate that the conversation surrounding the committee has become a partisan issue.

  • As a project manager, Kalloch said she knows how to stick to a budget but also that adjustments sometimes have to be made.

  • During her campaign she said she wanted to focus on attracting new businesses to the city inorder to grow the tax base and keep property taxes from rising.

  • She is also a virtual Financial Literacy professor with the nonprofit organization, the 3E Program, which assists black and brown freshmen at Yale University, Howard University and Virginia State University to ensure they have the resources to succeed during and after their college career.
